Valuing and Armouring Women

Valuing and Armouring Women

This International Women’s Day, join us in praying for women all over the world to be equipped with the armour of our God who loves and values every woman! Hear from the hearts of women who are encouraged through TWR Women of Hope's ministry.

Friday, March 8 marks International Women’s Day, a day set aside to recognize the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Through the ministry of TWR Women of Hope, we see that women encourage their families, local churches, communities and other women as they gain solid biblical teaching and experiential training. We see the ways that God’s love runs deep and how each woman is an expression of God’s everlasting love, never forgotten and never alone. With Jesus as our ultimate example, who welcomed and encouraged all his people – including women – we are reminded that our God values and has a purpose for each of us.

The ministry of TWR Women of Hope spiritually equips women and provides sustainable change and lasting hope in their lives, as well as in their families and communities. God speaks to the hearts of women through the radio programs, podcasts, social media ministries and on-the-ground engagement. Many women individually benefit from Women of Hope programs, but what happens when women work together to enable each other and reflect God’s character in their attitudes, as well as through their actions? When women share their hearts and put on the armour of Christ, this equips other women, their families and communities to grow in faith and create lasting hope together!

A listener of Women of Hope in Côte d’Ivoire shared, “I am thankful for the ability to listen to the program with a group. It helps me a lot, especially the experience of the other participants. I am encouraged to continue my walk with God.”

A woman in Paraguay shared, “I am on house arrest and am deprived of my freedom. I learned to make embroidered slippers at a TWR Women of Hope workshop and now make them in large quantities to sell. I always thank God for the opportunity to participate in the workshop, because that was the beginning of my reconciliation with God. It was also a way to re-enter the job market and help me move on from my past.”
