TWR Canada has partnered with CAMACOP (Christian and Missionary Alliance Churches of the Philippines) since 2016 to equip local churches through Discipleship Essentials (DE)—a program that provides structured teaching, training, and mentoring tools to help both leaders and everyday believers grow in their faith and understand God’s Word.
Through this partnership, pastors, leaders, and other believers are being trained to disciple others through small groups, creating a sustainable model for multiplication. What began as a conversation in Mindanao has grown into a national movement with approximately 8,000 small groups meeting in both urban and rural communities. These groups help believers grow spiritually and build stronger connections within their church communities.
In October 2025, DE continued to expand through partnerships with Bible schools and local churches, equipping over 100 new leaders through training and workshops. One leader shared that through DE, members of their congregation moved beyond simply attending church to actively discipling others—strengthening relationships, mentoring new believers, and helping their communities grow in faith.

DE is also being integrated into theological education and outreach efforts, including ministry in Muslim-background communities across the country. The content has been adapted for Sunday school, sermons and devotionals, enabling deeper spiritual growth.
Through God’s guidance, TWR Canada’s Discipleship Essentials program continues to equip leaders, strengthen churches, and multiply disciples across the Philippines—helping more people experience the belonging and connection that come from being part of God’s family.
