In Mali, “Mama Jeanne” Dembele has faithfully guided the Women of Hope program for years. After first hearing the program in French from Côte d’Ivoire, she recognized that the women of her country needed encouragement and guidance in their faith. With dedication and prayer, she translated the program into Bambara, and today hundreds of women regularly listen to gospel content in their heart language.

Mama Jeanne’s work reflects the heart of God at work through women who nurture, teach, and care for others—not only in their families but also in their communities. Each broadcast offers words of encouragement and truth, equipping women to live faithfully, raise their families, and make a difference around them.

We reflect on the many ways God works through women. Whether teaching a child, offering a listening ear, praying for a friend, or leading a community, the love and care of mothers reflect the love of God Himself. Proverbs 31:26 says, “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue,” and Isaiah 66:13 reminds us, “As a mother comforts her child, so I will comfort you.” Women like Mama Jeanne embody these truths, spreading God’s comfort, hope, and guidance far beyond their homes.

Through partnerships between TWR Canada, Women of Hope, and women like Mama Jeanne, God’s Word continues to reach hearts in the language that speaks most deeply to them. Each broadcast is an invitation to hope, encouragement, and the assurance that God sees and cares for every listener.
