God's Faithfulness
As we near the end of 2023 and TWR Canada's 50th anniversary year, we are reflecting on God's faithfulness to the ministry of TWR Canada over our history. Dear Friends,
As we near the end of 2023 and TWR Canada’s 50th anniversary year, I find myself reflecting on God’s faithfulness to the ministry of TWR Canada over our history. From the earliest days through to today, we have seen God at work around the world. This brings to mind Lamentations 3:22-23, which says, “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (ESV).
In my four years at TWR Canada, I have seen and heard of the many ways this is true in our ministry. And I am so grateful for you and the many ways God has used you to demonstrate his faithfulness. Your financial investment and prayerful support display how God works in each one of our lives, whether here in Canada or around the world.
Just one example of the ways God has been faithful throughout our history can be seen through our Persian ministry. We have been reaching the Persian-speaking world with the hope of the gospel for over 40 years, and God has been faithful in providing the appropriate methods for doing so at the right times. This ministry began as a series of weekly 10-minute radio broadcasts and today involves daily web radio broadcasts, social media outreach, personal connections with people, and conferences. When God gives us the vision and the opportunities, he always supplies the needed resources as well. Perhaps you’ve even been part of the team God has used to fund this ministry!
We also see God’s faithfulness through the lives of those impacted by the ministry. Each week we hear stories like the following:
“Thank you for praying for me. I have confessed my sins and repented. I am saved; Jesus has set me free!”
“This is what I needed to better understand Scripture and what God expects from a Christian. Here my questions are all answered!”
“I tuned in to this program by accident, but it is superb! In my country, there are many false teachings about Jesus’ death, but your teaching explains the truth. This is the first time I heard such a good and clear explanation. I knelt down and thanked God for the sacrifice he made for us.”
“I volunteer to teach Sunday School to the other children because I have learned so many Bible stories through this program and I am eager to share them with others.
Not only do stories like these remind us of God’s faithfulness, but they also remind us to praise God for his faithfulness. Comments like “God speaks my language,” “I didn’t know there was a God until I listened to TWR,” or “I ‘randomly’ came across your app,” reveal the work God is doing around the world. It is together that we do this work, and it truly couldn’t happen without you. Your partnership is a crucial piece in getting God’s Word into the hearts of people around the world.
And so, as we near the end of our 50th anniversary year, we are filled with gratefulness and praise to God for his faithfulness. And as we look to the future, we are filled with anticipation for what God will continue to do! We know that the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, and his mercies never come to an end. Great is his faithfulness!
I know that you have seen this same faithfulness in your own life. You have been redeemed by his great love and mercy!
