John is a seasoned journalist who is excited to transition from a 40-year career of reporting news in daily newspapers to telling the good news of what God is doing in the world by using his writing and editing skills for TWR.
A native of Iowa and a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, John has made visits to see the work of missionaries up close in Romania, Belize, Italy, Indonesia (Papua) and Zimbabwe. He has a passion for telling the stories of people whose lives have been transformed through TWR media in 190 countries and in more than 275 languages.
John enjoys long hikes, a brisk 'cuppa' tea, classical music and engrossing books. He has relocated from Duluth, Minnesota to Cary, North Carolina, to serve with TWR’s U.S.-based marketing and communications team.
