Teaching Children About Jesus Through Storytelling

Happy Children’s Garden is a 15-minute program produced by the TWR Cambodia team to teach children about Jesus through storytelling and song. From time to time, TWR Canada receives donations specifically to fund this program.

“My name is Sarem, and I am 17-years-old. I want to thank you for coming to visit me and the other children. Your visit made us very happy. Through the Bible story that you told us, we know more about Jesus." ~Happy Children's Garden Listener in Cambodia

“My name is Phanit, and I am 10-years-old. I like to listen to TWR-Cambodia’s children’s program, Happy Children’s Garden. I listen to the program together with the other children in my village. Today’s story helped me to know about the all-powerful God, who can do everything. He hears and sees everything. Also, thank you for the story of Zaccheus. This story showed me that I need to be kind to others, to not be greedy and to show love one to another. Before I listened to this story, I always wanted things for myself and did not want to share with others. Now I know that when I believe in Jesus, He wants me to share with others. Thank you so much.” ~Happy Children's Garden Listener in Cambodia

In addition to broadcasts, TWR Cambodia also sends follow-up teams to villages across Cambodia. In September, the team hosted a training session for the leaders of its Happy Children’s Garden listener groups from all over the country. There were 60 leaders from 11 provinces, ranging from Sunday school teachers to pastors to former listeners to youths in the church at the training – all looking for ways to reach the children of Cambodia with the good news of Jesus.

The leaders were immersed in a time of worship, morning devotions, learning, and fellowship with one another. They were taught how to teach children with songs and Bible stories. There were also taught the principles of sharing and praying.

Please pray for the team in Cambodia as they respond to listeners, travel from village to village, and minister to listeners and each other.
