Asia is a region of the world that is full of people and comparatively few Christians. This means we have a large but exciting task in this region. We are involved with many projects in Asia, stretching from Japan to China to India and to the Philippines. All of these projects focus on evangelism and discipleship, so we are reaching out to unbelievers, and assisting believers in growing in their faith. Explore the wide range of our ministry projects across Asia:

Children's Bible Stories - TWR Canada's Chinese Ministry team is translating and producing children's Bible stories into Mandarin for distribution in China.

Chinese Ministry - TWR Canada's Chinese Ministry team hosts camps in China on topics such as Bible reading, Bible study, preaching and discipleship, in order to equip believers and train leaders.

Radio Home Groups - we are distributing radio home kits to home groups across India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka so that believers can study the Word of God.

“I am a first-generation Christian and I work among the unreached people in my area. It has been a privilege to be introduced to TWR India’s radio home group program. It has been very helpful to me as I have not had any Bible training. I have been able to go to the villages surrounding my village and introduce this program. I would like to get more of the audio players as it is a great means to share the Word with the people here, who are very simple, illiterate and hungry to know the truth. The predominant occupation is farming.”

SOTA - a three-to-four-year intensive seminary program for Chinese believers and church leaders.

Sri Lanka Broadcasting - a 30-minute weekly program, God’s Unique Book, to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the majority Sinhala Buddhist community in Sri Lanka.

"Thank you very much for the program on the book of Ephesians. God has spoken to me from this program. As Paul shared the good news even when he was in prison, I have realized that I also need to share the good news in my situation."

Radio Programming - Beyond God's Unique Book, we also air radio programs to Afghanistan, Nepal and Pakistan.

"I thank our Lord, who has given me and my family an opportunity to listen to the Word of God. My family looks forward to hearing the TTB programs on the TWR broadcasts. I've seen a tremendous change in the lives of my children. They memorize Bible verses, sing worship songs, and are serious about praying. They know the names and the number of books in the Bible. These programs change our generation and reinforce their trust in Christ. My family is a living example of the transformation. I have peace in my heart that my children will be a great witness of Christ in this non-Christian world." – A listener in South Asia

Discipleship Essentials - a library of discipleship resources for individual or small group study. As well, training sessions to teach people how to start a discipleship movement have happened in India and the Philippines.

Bible Distribution - we have distributed print Bibles across Asia.

Unreached People Groups - through various forms of media, TWR Canada is reaching unreached people groups across Asia with the gospel.

***Stay tuned for next week’s e-update, where we share the story of brother Z, a SOTA student and missionary in Myanmar.
