This is such a busy season with Christmas around the corner. We wanted to send this short story from Mozambique to show the eternal impact your partnership with TWR Canada is having around the world.
There is a great deal we take for granted that people in other parts of the world only dream about. We can offer them the hope and healing found in Christ. Join us in praising God for the positive impact these programs are having.
From A Listeners In Mozambique
I am an elderly widow. Where I live, the old and elderly are seen as sorcerers. Old women are accused of creating diseases such as malaria, diarrhea, and miscarriage. The old are accused when a family member is injured or killed in an accident, and sometimes they are killed with a machete for these things. The consequences are very serious.
I give thanks to God that the government of Mozambique defends the elderly. Trans World Radio, through the program Weherya Mwa Yesu, Words of Hope, brings valuable biblical teachings that show the sin in people's lives, and health information -- so they do not blame their elders. I pray God continues to touch the hearts of the people in government, and younger people, to protect the elderly.
