      New Studio For Central Asia

      Central Asia
TWR has been broadcasting the gospel in Central Asia for many years. Programs are produced in Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Tajik, Turkmen, Uzbek, Karakalpak and Central Asian Russian. In many countries in Central Asia, Christian activity is forbidden. Circumstances radically changed near the end of 2015 and the studio where the programs were produced was no longer in a secure area. To protect staff and assets, the decision was made to close the studio and sell the property. A new location was found in early 2016, but due to a change in the market the existing property had not been sold.

The plans for a new studio in a safer location stalled.

TWR Canada learned of the problem and stepped in. Because of your support to our general fund, (part of these funds are held in reserve so we are able to answer these urgent calls for help) we were able to advance the team in Central Asia the money to begin construction on the new property and the new studio. The old property remains unsold, but when it is sold, TWR Canada will be reimbursed the advanced funds in order to invest in other projects in the region.

Because of your support, the programs in Central Asia continued broadcasting without interruption.

The team reported that in January 2017, the walls, roof and windows were installed. Over the last few weeks, the interior of the building was completed including a heating system and a security fence and gate. The team in Central Asia will dedicate the building in the fall.

      From Listeners

A woman came to the fellowship for the first time. I introduced myself and asked her whether she had heard about God and knows Jesus. She replied she had heard about God on the radio...in her own language. But then she lost the frequency. We talked about the programs and I gave her a CD and an information sheet. She gladly accepted it. We have since learned that her husband forbid her to come to the fellowship again. Please pray for this searching woman. We hope she has found the broadcasts on the FM transmitter and is listening.

Please pray for the sale of original building to happen quickly.
