Alberto Gonzalez, our Cuba Ministry Director, has been diligently working to expand and grow the TWR ministry across the island. Earlier this year, we reported on some new initiatives Alberto and his team have begun including programs on biblical counselling, and Project Hannah prayer groups.
TWR Cuba's ministry continues to grow and listener responses were handled off site. Additional space had to be rented for storage of printed materials, DVDs, and CDs distributed to listeners upon request. TWR Cuba also holds several rallies each year, and the planning of these events has had to happen in various locations because the office was simply not large enough to accommodate the needs of so many ministry projects.
In January, TWR Canada visited Alberto in Cuba, and encouraged him to begin looking for a house to purchase to use for TWR Cuba. The Western Baptist Convention in Havana has provided office space and a legal umbrella for TWR's work in Cuba for nearly ten years, and will continue to be a very important partner for us, but the expanding ministry had caused us to outgrow the space available.
We are excited to be able to officially share the news that TWR Canada was able to purchase a house to be used as an office for TWR Cuba! Alberto has sent a few photos of the newly painted TWR Cuba office, studio, residence, and guest residence in Havana.

A meeting room. Something the other office didn't have space for.
Alberto is excited about the 'back yard' that can double as another meeting space if necessary.
Thank you for your support of both the ministry in Cuba and TWR Canada which has made this possible.
