Praying for Women to Receive the Gift of Salvation

What is the gospel? The gospel is the “good news” from God that “Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures” (1 Cor. 15:1-4). The gospel is not merely about Jesus Christ. He is the gospel!

Why did Jesus come to earth to die? God created Adam, our representative head, without sin. Yet Adam rejected God’s authority and disobeyed. At that point, sin, death, suffering and separation from a holy God entered the world – both spiritual and physical. All of creation was defiled, and man’s sin nature would infect every generation. What a hopeless predicament!

In his mercy, the Father sent the divine Son to earth, to be born of a virgin, to take on a human nature like ours. During his life, Jesus perfectly kept the law that Adam disobeyed. At the appointed time, Jesus willingly bore on the cross God’s wrath for sin – all the sins we have committed and will ever commit, a debt we cannot repay. After three days, God, through the Holy Spirit, triumphantly raised Jesus from the dead!

This is the good news that through Jesus’ sacrifice, we, his children, are reconciled to God, forgiven of our sins, accounted righteous in God’s sight and assured of eternal life in heaven. This salvation is from start to finish a work of the Lord alone, a gift of God and not a result of our good works (Eph. 2:8-9).

How do we respond to such good news? We “confess with our mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead” (Rom. 10:9-10). Out of gratitude for such a great salvation, we simply tell others, “He loved me and gave himself for me, a sinner.”

    Please pray for …

    1. Christian women to comprehend that “we are his [God’s] workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Eph. 2:10).

    2. Women to understand that God, through his creation, reveals the truth about himself and holds all accountable (Rom. 1:20).

    3. Women who are saved to realize that obedience to God’s Word is evidence of our love for Christ. Jesus emphatically states, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments” (John 14:15).

    4. Christian women around the world to rejoice that “there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Rom. 8:1) and nothing can separate us from the love of God (Rom. 8:39).

    5. Women to come to “know you [God], the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent” so they may receive eternal life (John 17:3).

    6. Christian women to be confident that “he [God] who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus” (Phil. 1:6).

    7. Women to understand that a holy God hates sin and that all sin is against God. “Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight” (Ps. 51:4).

    8. Christian mothers to learn God’s words so they can teach them to their children, “talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way” (Deut. 11:19).

    9. Women to know that salvation comes by no other way but Jesus Christ alone: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).

    10. Women of Hope programs to guide women to find hope and healing in Jesus Christ, whom God anointed “to proclaim good news to the poor” (Luke 4:18-19).

    11. Christian women to “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. … ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself’” (Mark 12:30-31).

    12. Unsaved women, asking that “God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may escape from the snare of the devil” (2 Tim. 2:25-26).

    13. Christian women to let their “light shine before others,” as Jesus said, “so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven” (Matt. 5:16).

    14. Women of Hope programs to encourage believers, to point unbelievers to Christ and to faithfully proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations.

    15. Women to declare, “Lord Jesus, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we believed and have come to know that you are the Holy One of God” (John 6:68-69).

    16. Every Christian wife to let her beauty be in “the hidden person of [her] heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious” (1 Pet. 3:4).

    17. Our Father God to tear down the spiritual strongholds that blind unbelieving women and keep “them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Cor. 4:4).

    18. TWR Women of Hope teams around the world to have God’s favour rest upon them and for him to “establish the work of [their] hands” (Ps. 90:17).

    19. Those who have received Christ Jesus the Lord to “walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith … abounding in thanksgiving” (Col. 2:6-7).

    20. Christian women to be willing to share that they are “not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Rom. 1:16).

    21. The Lord to open the eyes of unsaved women “so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins” (Acts 26:18).

    22. Christians to proclaim that “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

    23. Women to hear and respond to Jesus’ words: “Come to me, all who labour and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me” (Matt. 11:28).

    24. Women who listen to Women of Hope programs, visit a Hannah’s House or participate in a prayer group, asking God to move their hearts to “receive with meekness [his] implanted word, which is able to save your souls” (Jas. 1:21).

    25. Christian women to declare that Jesus is the fulfillment of what God spoke to the prophet Isaiah: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (Matt. 1:23; Isa. 7:14).

    26. God to give Christian women the courage to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news” (Isa. 52:7).

    27. Christian women tobe encouraged by God’s promises: “If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all” (Rom. 8:31-34).

    28. God’s people to praise him because he is patient toward us, “not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance” (2 Pet. 3:9).

    29. Christians to rejoice in the coming fulfillment of God’s purposes in Christ Jesus, “for you [Christ] were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe” (Rev. 5:9-10).

    30. All people to understand that one day “we will all stand before the judgment seat of God, for it is written, ‘As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me’ ” (Rom. 14:10-12).
