"Those who trust in their riches will fall,
but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf." Proverbs 11:28 (NIV)
As we enter March and April of 2021, how is your life going? What are some things that you are doing differently from last year?
For me, I’m determined in 2021 to learn how Jesus lived in a world that was not his own and yet thrived in ministry and life. In March and April, we are praying for women in leadership and for health and wellness. But what does it mean to be a healthy woman in leadership who is thriving in ministry? The dictionary definition for the word “thrive” is to “flourish; prosper.” Are these words that describe your life and ministry today?
Recently I had a conversation with a leader, and as we were sharing all the things on our to-do lists, we realized that there are days where it seems more like we are surviving in ministry than thriving. The pressures of life, priorities and expectations can keep us from remaining in God’s purpose and presence each day. Can you relate?
For the next two months, we will be praying for women in leadership and for the health and wellness of our teams and intercessors around the world. It is a good time to take inventory of our own lives and ministry and to note those areas in which we may be just surviving and not thriving.
We are so grateful for each one of you who commits to praying with us because we know that leadership is a high calling and that women are faced with challenges every day in living out their God-given callings. Please pray with us as we offer up our voices for women around the world and ask God to reveal the areas in our own lives that need adjustments.
In him our hearts rejoice.
