We understand that God owns all the wealth in this world and we are only stewards or managers of what He entrusts to us. TWR Canada's Planned Giving Department helps you exercise your stewardship responsibilities effectively. If your beneficiaries include your family and charities you can often save income tax by arranging your asset distribution in ways which rarely mean your family receives less.
A Planned Gift can yield increased benefits for you and TWR Canada by taking advantage of tax provisions, compound interest and other factors. The goal is to maximize your gift, minimize your taxes paid, and improve your financial security.
As you consider your stewardship responsibilities, the options can have significant advantages for you. It would be our privilege to help you maximize your gift to the Lord's work while at the same time minimizing your tax liability. If you would like to learn more please contact Irv Wilson, Director of Stewardship and Planned Giving, by phone at 1-888-672-6510 or by email.
When making or revising your will, consider how a bequest can provide a lasting legacy of your support for TWR Canada.
A gift annuity combines your gift to TWR Canada with an annuity. We purchase the annuity on your behalf through a licensed life insurance company. Your guaranteed annuity payments continue throughout your lifetime, unaffected by changes in the economy or interest rates. The annuity can be written to cover both you and your spouse for life, or for a specific number of years.
There is a real advantage to making a gift of shares to TWR Canada. You receive a charitable tax receipt for the fair market value of the shares (at the time they are received) and any capital gain tax owing is also eliminated.
Life insurance is an economical way to give a larger and more lasting gift to TWR Canada than might otherwise be possible without drawing on your assets now or depleting your estate. If structured correctly, your gift will not be included in the value of your estate and therefore, you will avoid probate fees.
