That’s why TWR Canada exists—to help everyone, everywhere, find and follow Jesus in a language they understand best.
This Fall, we’re heading to Manitoba and Saskatchewan to share powerful, real-life stories of how the gospel is being shared in some of the hardest-to-reach places on earth. One such place is the jungles of Suriname, where TWR is now building upon the legacy of a faithful missionary family to establish a radio network to bring the gospel to even more unreached tribes (read more below).

Lifted – A Legacy of Faith in the Jungles of Suriname
This year’s ministry update highlights the incredible journey of the Schoen family, who risked everything—moving with their small children to the remote jungles of Suriname to bring the message of Jesus to an unreached people group.
Their decades of faithful ministry led to the salvation and transformation of two indigenous tribes: the Wayana and Trio peoples.
To share this powerful story, TWR International produced a 75-minute documentary, Lifted, capturing how God used one family’s obedience to spark a movement of evangelism and discipleship deep in the Amazon.
Thanks to the faithful generosity of donors, TWR Canada in 2025 helped fund the establishment of a radio network in Suriname, empowering the Wayana and Trio believers to evangelize and disciple other unreached tribes even deeper in the jungle.
Lifted and the Suriname radio project is more than just a story—it’s a testimony of how God uses media to reach the unreachable.
